Biphasic Peel Treatment | Nebula ACTO₂
with Dr. Mariagrazia Croccia
Nebula ACTO₂ is an innovative peeling formulation by Supernova, designed to meet the needs of patients with active acne, acne scars, skin discolorations, and to address the signs of chronoaging and photoaging.
Its unique formula combines an acidic component and an oxygenating component. The acidic phase contains trichloroacetic acid (TCA) in two different concentrations — which distinguish the two versions of the product — along with azelaic acid, vitamin B12, and mandelic acid. The oxygenating phase includes active oxygen and perfluorocarbon derivatives.
By offering both a mild formulation and a stronger version, named Orion, Nebula ACTO₂ allows for treatment personalization based on each patient’s skin type and needs: sensitive skin responds best to the milder version, while more resistant or blemished skin benefits from the Orion formula.
The innovation of Nebula ACTO₂ lies in achieving significant exfoliation and effective cell renewal while maintaining low concentrations of TCA. The combination of an acidic and an oxygenating phase enables the treatment of even the most sensitive skin, ensuring visible, uniform results.
Thanks to active oxygen, the formula also provides soothing and anti-inflammatory effects, reducing irritation and making the peeling non-photosensitizing. This allows treatments to be safely performed even during spring and early summer, provided that proper sun protection is recommended.
The Nebula ACTO₂ protocol concludes with the application of the Virgo cream, whose oxygenating action enhances and prolongs the results of the treatment.
In both formulations, Nebula ACTO₂ ensures a quick return to daily activities and excellent tolerability, thanks to the calming properties of oxygen.
